   Country Bill  Country music  entertainer

Bill Huey Country Music Entertainer For Over Forty Years Bringing You Music With A Country Flavor. Born in 1951 on October 14 Bill was the youngest of seven children he spent the first year of his life in Halifax Nova Scotia Canada. The next year the family moved to Stewiacke a little town about an hour west of Halifax there Bill's father worked on the railroad as a chef. Bill's father grew up in Liverpool Nova Scotia the hometown of country music legend Hank Snow and although he didn't play or sing you can be sure there were lots of Hank Snow records being played. Bill's mother was from Kentville Nova Scotia and had a brother Bernie who played music on radio with a group called The Valley Boys they were heard each week on C F A B Windsor radio station. So as you may have guessed Bill took an interest in music at a very young age. At the age of seven a man by the name of Danny Kent would come to Bill's home  with his guitar and sing some Hank Williams songs (Wish I Had A Nickel and You Win Again)  That Christmas Bill got his first guitar although he didn't do much with it until he was fifteen that was when he began to learn to play. Bill asked some of the local people in town to teach him to play, they said that they would like to but either didn't have time or didn't give guitar lessons. So Bill went to the music store and bought a book on how to play the guitar for seventy five cents and learned on his own and has never looked back. Bill says his music has been a saving grace in his life and the enjoyment it brings to others is worth more than any treasures can hold. Bill has done countless shows and performances and also many TV appearances. He has also organized the very first all Hank Williams Gospel Tribute and a yearly Jim Reeves Tribute show titled "Welcome To My World" that has been viewed by people as far away as South Africa where Jim Reeves was very successful. On Sept. 15th 2012 Country Bill was inducted into the Nova Scotia Country Music Hall Of Fame. Bill would like to sincerly thank all his musical frends for their words of encouragement over the years and a big thank you to all the many fans who made his music some of the best years of his life.
